HISTORY
When the chips are down, the Raft is the last bastion of hope for a desperate mariner. Lashed together from bits of ruined ship or discarded building materials, this flimsily constructed vessel is good for little more than getting you to your next opportunity. Hope that your path aboard this craft is short and safe; should you be unlucky—or foolish—enough to find your raft in a confrontation, your only defense will be the pity of your opponent.
The raft is used for basic transportation until a better alternative presents itself.
Make for the horizon fast if you see an enemy: you won't survive the battle.
Even the longboat seems mighty next to this pitiful craft; nothing can be compared to it in terms of weakness.
